Paralegal and File Clerk Program
The paralegal and file clerk program at Baach Robinson & Lewis presents a challenging and rewarding work experience. The strength of our paralegal and file clerk team are the people we hire. We seek accomplished individuals with a commitment to excellence and a dedication to teamwork. Our attorneys rely on paralegals and file clerks and work closely with them. This close-knit working environment leads to success for our clients and valuable professional mentoring relationships for our paralegals and file clerks.
Our paralegals and file clerks are given ample training in the tasks that they are asked to perform. Examples of paralegal responsibilities include managing cases, performing cite checks, drafting correspondence, digesting depositions, assisting at hearings and arbitrations, obtaining materials from federal and local courts and agencies, creating databases, monitoring publications, and proofreading and preparing documents for filing. Many of our paralegals have significant client contact and some travel. For our paralegal staff we seek both experienced individuals who have made career decisions to be paralegals as well as recent college graduates who are looking for an interim experience while they decide whether to pursue a legal career or venture into another field. A four-year degree from an accredited college or university is required.
Examples of tasks handled by file clerks include indexing, organizing, redacting, preparing materials for attorney review, and obtaining materials from various organizations around the city. File clerks are required to have a high school diploma and tend to be local university students who work during the school year.
