

Brett Walter’s practice concentrates in the areas of civil and commercial litigation. His work regularly involves advising international clients in U.S. and international commercial dispute resolution. His primary efforts are currently focused on the representation of an overseas client involved in global litigation concerning a $10 billion financial services fraud.
Mr. Walter has obtained favorable outcomes through settlement and litigation on a variety of issues. He has state and federal court trial experience, represents clients in arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, and has considerable experience in international aspects of litigation, including service of process, obtaining evidence, and enforcement of U.S. law abroad.
His clients include insurance and reinsurance companies seeking advice on coverage issues and policyholders defending product liability, contract, and tort cases. His experience includes two six-month secondments in the U.K. and U.S. offices of a London Market insurance client where he served as in house counsel to the claims department.
