

Mr. Ruby has practiced in the field of insurance and reinsurance for twenty years. In that time he has represented both London and domestic insurers in complex coverage disputes involving environmental, toxic tort, advertising injury, and other types of claims. He has particular experience in representing insurers of bankrupt or insolvent insureds. He has litigated insurance and reinsurance matters in state and federal courts, at trial, on appeal, and in arbitration and has provided advice to insurers on a broad range of issues. Mr. Ruby has also lectured on insurance issues such as bad faith claims and intellectual property coverage, and has conducted seminars and workshops in topics such as alternate dispute resolution and the handling of various types of claims.
Mr. Ruby has been recognized by Chambers USA (2008) as one of the top attorneys in Washington, D.C. for insurance matters.
